Welcome to Arc

Arc is a free app that enables people to identify patterns of behaviour that make them feel scared, unsafe, undermined or intimidated, record their experiences, and tell their story.

The Arc app has been developed for people experiencing family violence, to help explain their situation, to provide key information to police or in court, and reduce the number of times they have to repeat their story.

Here's how Arc works...

Identify Patterns

Arc helps people to track details of abusive behaviour by uploading photos, videos, audio and diary entries to create a record of what has happened, when it happened, and how it made them feel.

Each entry into Arc adds to a bigger picture of a victim survivor's experiences, and can help identify patterns of behaviour.

Tell Your Story

Arc can be used to help victim survivors explain their experiences to a friend, family member, a support service, to provide key information to police, in court, or with legal or family violence practitioners.

Arc may also be used by a victim survivor to put the language of family violence around their experience.

Keep a Record

Arc offers an easier, more secure way to collate experiences than traditional diary entries or digital documentation.

Information on Arc is saved and securely encrypted off-device – on the cloud - where it cannot be lost. Arc can be deleted instantly from a device and reinstalled at any time without loss of information.

If you are feeling scared, unsafe or intimidated in your relationship, it can help to document or keep notes of what’s happening and how you're feeling.

It is often recommended to keep a diary of events –  to write down dates, times, and details of what happened. This makes it easier if and or when talking to services or reporting to police.
